30 juni Thank you from my heart.....I somehow feel all of your prayers have reached me. While the family "troubles" are far from over, things have settled and for the first time in a few days I can see progress and progression.
I know that I'm being vague about what is happening, but I don't feel it's my place to tell you all that is happening. I can tell you it's Nikki's place to talk about, and I am hoping that soon she will be able to come and share with those of you who know her.
The baby is fine - he is thriving thanks to us being a close family. Nikki is back at home with those who love her and is getting through one day at a time and getting stronger. I am back at work today after being out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. How funny that I have Monday and Tuesday off and will be starting a four day weekend after today. I have much work to catch up on - whew -- I know I won't do it all today, so there is the possibility that I will spend some time here tomorrow. That's ok, it is a peaceful and restful place to be right now and the familiarity of the work is comforting.
I also have to do my 4th of July Guestbook Signing - I don't like to sign up for something and not complete it so I will be doing that from my slow, slow computer at home. I am also going to take time here and there to visit all of you - I have missed our friendships online more than I can tell you.
I hope everyone has wonderful plans for the fourth of July. Ours include a possible trip with Eric and Nikki to Hoffman's Playland, we also hope to get Eric's Portrait taken, and lots of pool fun and a trip for Eric's first fireworkds. I'm hoping Jaime comes home for the holiday and we get to spend time with him as well.
The weather has been hot and humid with lots of showers - we have flooding and such in the area and plenty of neato thunderstorms.
Well - I need to get back to work, so I can take breaks in between and visit.

26 juni Hello EveryoneI just wanted to take a quick minute to stop in and let you all know that I'm O.K. - still alive and kicking.
There have been some family problems that I need to take care of and get through, therefore my thoughts have been at home with family. I have not gone far and hopefully will be in a better frame of mind soon.
Just say a few prayers and send them my way. Meanwhile - I miss you all my friends. 19 juni MondayJust a short update and a minute to day hello. We had a wonderful weekend and yes, finally was able to christen the pool.
Yesterday and today were hot - although thunderstorms are expected shortly. I hope I get home before they start. More tomorrow after I finish tallying the State Sales tax tomorrow.

16 juni Please Be Nice!I believe I'm a nice person. When someone holds a door for me or steps aside to let me pass, or stops their car to let me out of a side street onto a busy street - I wave, or smile or say thank you. If someone smiles at me, I smile back. If someone in a checkout line strikes up a conversation I chat with them while we wait.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people there are who don't bother with a thank you when someone holds a door for them, or just turn their head at a smile or out and out ignore people who are trying to be nice. I get so aggravated that sometimes I sometimes can't help but let them know they are forgetting their manners or that they need to get some manners to begin with. A nicely said "your welcome" (given in a little over normal volume) as they sail by with their nose in the air while I hold the door for them, or step aside to let them pass in a crowded aisle, does the trick. I can't tell you how many people get upset at being reminded they need to use their manners or need to get some. I've gotten so many dirty looks I can't count them - and yesterday a lady with her daughter yelled a snotty thank you at me. Now what kind of example is she setting for her daughter? I've taught my children to be polite and helpful to people and I've taught them by my own example, even if I'm crabby or preoccupied. I like to feel it makes the world a little nicer. I hope I'm not offending anyone by writing this. It just really bothers me sometimes. I guess the nice thing to do is just let it pass - but..........
On a better note - the weather here has been wonderful. I believe we might actually get into the pool this weekend. (Sorry Skip - poor Skip without a pool). It will be fun to see Eric in the water. He loves his bath - and this is one big bathtub for him.
Our boat cruise is Saturday night. I still need to get my hair cut - hmmm, I wonder if I have time on my lunch today. No nevermind - I will itch all afternoon. I'm looking forward to a nice prime rib dinner and some fresh Hudson River air.
I hope you all have a nice weekend. I'm off to visit to see what everyone has been up to. My space has been quiet lately. I must be getting boring again. HEY! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I NEVER STOPPED? LOL! 13 juni Great weekend!This weekend was cold (yes I was wearing a jacket in June) - but it was a nice weekend nonetheless. Kaelynn's BBQ Birthday party was a great success and in spite of the past differences of ex spouses and in-laws and such, everyone put it all aside and we had a wonderful time. We even managed to keep the tents up with all the wind and not many napkins blew around, although we almost lost the balloons a few times to the heavens. AND - the power didn't go out till the party was over and everyone was home.
Eric was a big hit and Kaelynn was so excited and the center of attention. Not that she wanted to be though. It was tough to get her to open her presents with her mom and dad - she wanted to sit around in the circle with the kids and watch someone else open them. But once her princess chair came out, she decided that she would cooperate.
I didn't updtate yesterday. Work was busy. The weather yesterday and today is much better and the forcast says this weekend will be in the 80's. So maybe we will get some summer weather after all. And the boat cruise will be nice for Saturday.
I'm making a haircut appointment - can't put it off any longer. I'm tired of looking like a fuzz head. I love it when my hair is short (I cut it very, very short) as it's out of the shower, towel it dry, and go... None of that blow dry stuff for me anymore. Stupid blow dryer.
Well - I'm off to do some visiting. Enjoy the pictures of the party. (I see they have changed spaces once again, as the photo albums are now below the pictures).
09 juni Is it really summertime?
I'm really surprised at the weather lately and of course the forcast predicts no different for the next few days. It really does feel like a rainy April. I don't remember a June like this. I am wondering what kind of summer we will have with the weather like this now. Kevin said last night that we probably won't get to blow up all the floats and tubes I bought for the kids for the pool this year. He had to drain some of the water out of the pool again last night. He still has to put the PH Balance in, and it needs vacuuming.
Well, it's Friday once again and I'm leaving work early to babysit so Nikki can take her drivers test. It will be so much easier for both her and for us if she has her licence. It's a half hour drive from her house to ours (an hour both ways). We are going to the mall afterwards to shop for Kaelynn's presents for Sunday - maybe we will have lunch. Have to look at the finances.
Next weekend is Kevin's Bowling Banquet Cruise. We have a blast at that. We all meet at the bowling alley and 2 buses take us to the boat (I believe it is the JP Mogan in Troy) where there is Dinner, Drinks and a band while we Cruise. After 3 or 4 hours it's back on the bus to the bowling alley where Charlie will pick us up. This way no one drives while drinking. Yes, I'll probably get a little tipsy, but we have no plans for Sunday so maybe that can be my lay by the pool and do nothing else day.
It's almost time to get going - I want to visit a few people, finish up some work and get ready to go, so I'll say "HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE" and if I don't pop in this weekend, I'll "see" you all Monday.
06 juni Just Checking InNew York weather is getting warmer, but the sun is a tricky devil and doesn't stay very long. It was such a gloomy and yucky weekend I began to believe it was only March or April rather than June. I was dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt for most of the weekend. Therefore my friends, I have not much to tell you about my weekend.
This coming weekend is Kaelynn's 2nd birthday celebration - and Kevin and Jamie are having a family BBQ for it. It's on Sunday from 12 - 4. That should be fun. Not everyone gets along, so it will be interesting to watch the interactions. As for us, we can hardly wait to see how happy she will be having so much attention.
Kevin is still working on the pool. With so much rain it's been useless to do the chemicals. He has shocked it, but it needs ph balancing and chlorine. He has had to drain some of the water out of the pool 3 times because of the rain. But we will get there. It's supposed to be nice this weekend - sure hope they are right.
Not much else to say so I guess I will go catch up on what everyone else is up to. Have a great week everyone!

The guys (my co-workers) got off ok for their ride to Virginia Beach for their convention.
 Convention my tushie! But it has been quiet here with them gone. No one to harass me or make me laugh or make me want to tear out my hair. They will be back on Monday.I would really love to run home and jump in the pool, but my husband is still messing with the chemicals and it needs a little water pumped out because of all the rain. But the water temp yesterday was 76 degrees - it sure warmed up fast since we opened it only last weekend.
I was exploring Melissa's (a new friend) site and was very impressed by the garden she has, as well as the pictures of some of the fruits and veggies she has grown and even some of the dishes she made with them. Check it out here. I sure wish I had her talent for growing and cooking.
Been missing my little Eric for the last day or two. Nikki says he's standing and is crawling all over the place. Time to babyproof grandma's house I guess. He pulled all my books off my bookshelf the other day. Cute little thing -
