    Autumn

Cool winds are blowing today and the trees are turning colors -- and of course blowing off the trees, onto my lawn.  The summer has passed too quickly for me, as usual, and without hardly feeling like summer.  While I enjoy the beautiful colors of the Fall, and the occasional warm days and cool breezes, I'm seriously disappointed to see summer go.  Time to get the rakes out -- buy some more leaf bags, wash the windows and pull down the storm windows and change the theme of some of the rooms.

Nichole, Eric and Daniel are at the Apple Orchard today on Eric's school trip.  I wish I could have went, but it's great for them to go as a family.  Nikki is sending me pictures from her cell phone.  Yep, my grandson is such a cutie.

I went to Eagle Mills Craft Fair with my friend Karen a couple weeks ago.  It was great and of course I spent more than I should have.  But it was worth getting out in the fresh air with a friend, eating apple cider donuts and looking at the great things for sale.  We decided to stop for a beer and burger on the way home.  We started to pass this place (below) and decided to pull in and try it.  Notice anything funny about it?

    Last Chance Salon

Let's just say that when we walked in, there were no tables or seats to partake of our beer and burgers.  Just a bunch of seats with women sitting under the hair dryer.  Yep, you probably noticed it right off.  It's not the LAST CHANCE SALOON...as we thought.  But THE LAST CHANCE SALON.  I think we're still laughing about it.  Before I had barely stepped into the door,  Karen has stopped in her tracks, turned around and pushed me back out.  OMG - it's not a saloon.  Go ahead and laugh.  We are!

I've been feeling a bit restless lately.  Nothing new about that.  I'm still missing Jamie who is back in California from Vegas now.  I called once or twice but he's so busy I really don't get to talk to him much.  I'm spending alot of time with Eric and we see Charlie and Kevin every Sunday for football.  I plan to ask Nik to do a lunch date, maybe next week.

Also, my best friends from Jersey are coming up on Friday the 16th for the weekend.  We have quite a busy weekend planned.  Nikki is taking our portrait at her studio on Saturday, afterwards, we will head to Lake George to meet my dad and sister for lunch.  Later a haunted hay ride and after that some dancing.  The next morning after breakfast, we'll head to the Apple Orchard so they can take some cider donuts and apples back to Jersey with them.  Whew -- think that's enough action for the weekend?

Well, I"m busy cleaning up this space and doing a bit of simplifying.  Need to clean up my friends list too.  I don't even know half the people on it.  So have a good day and I'll talk to you all soon!

That's toooooo funny! Maybe they should sell beer there. They'd make a lot on people who read their sign too fast! LOL. Sounds like a busy weekend is right. Today, we're going out to the Autumnfest in R.I. Yesterday it was the Mendon Country Fair. I love this time of year! Apples, falling leaves, which we don't have to bag as we have a compost pile. It's great for the gardens! LoL. And pumpkins! I love Autumn. The summer did go too fast though. And not looking forward to the winter at all. I know what you mean about your friends list. I know I hardly post, but don't delete me. You were the first person on my friends list. And one of my favorites. I really have to get back to posting. Hard to find the time, and anything interesting enough to post about. Just one exciting thing after another in my life..............................................NOT! Have a great day Deb!

Whew, I'm the first one to comment...does this mean you'll keep me on you're friend list? LOL! Our weather went straight from a mostly cool summer to a week of unseasonably hot weather to winter...teen temps are predicted and it's already snowed hard several times...normal? You be the judge. Sometimes I've thought of doing other things with my space but I just can't think what. I remain unsatisfied with FaceBook but somehow unable to leave because of those I know over there...there must be a balance in it all right? I'd laugh about your restaurant mishap but I likely would have done the same thing! Have a great day!
